I am a big fan of Harpers Ferry, WV. It’s such a scenic little historic town, but it also offers lots of outdoor activities. A couple of summers ago some friends and I went to Harpers Ferry to go tubing, and then spent the afternoon in the historic area.
For those of you who are not familiar with tubing, you basically ride an inner tube down a mild river. There are usually some mild rapids, but nothing strenuous. Often there are areas you can even walk through the water. It’s a fun and relaxing way to enjoy the afternoon. We used River & Trail Outfitters, but there are plenty of companies in the area.
At the end of the river and up a hill to where we would catch the bus back to our cars we passed a water fall and decided to stop and check it out.
After getting back to our cars and cleaning up, we spent the afternoon walking around Harpers Ferry historic district. I’ve been to HF several times, so the pictures below are from multiple trips. Enjoy!
